The Traditional Indigo Dyeing Workshop will be temporarily closed from June 1 to August 31 due to constructions. Workshops in which you can experience indigo dyeing will be held specially at the study room of the Kawasaki Municipal Science Museum.

“Snow Flake Patterned Handkerchief”

In this workshop we make snow flake pattern to a handkerchief by indigo dyeing.

• Date: June 7 (Sunday), June 28 (Sunday), 2026
• Time: (1) 10:00 ~, (2) 13:00 ~ (about 50 minutes for each)
• Place: Kawasaki Municipal Science Museum (Study Room)
• Everyone can participate (elementary schooler or younger children must be accompanied by 1 guardian)
• Fee: 1,320 Yen (handkerchief and rubber gloves included)
• Capacity: 10 participants for each time slot. Reservation required.

“Experiencing Indigo Dyeing”

In this workshop you can experience indigo dyeing, using simple tools to make original patterns to a handkerchief.
